About Me

My name is John Andrew Carnegie, but people who know me just call me Andrew.   When I sign my name I like to sign it as ‘J. Andrew Carnegie’ to make it sound distinguished as if I am a famous author.  In case you are wondering, I am not a close relative of the Scotch-American philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, and therefore I didn’t ‘get the money’ as I often like to say.

I was born on September 29th, 1978 at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA.  Born to James and Joyce Carnegie, at the time of my birth I weighed only 2 lbs, 2 oz.  Able to fit in the palm of your hand, I am what they call a ‘miracle baby.’  Lucky for me, my lungs were sufficiently developed so that I was able to breathe on my own and my constitution was strong.  Additionally, I like to think I was (and still am) tenacious.  The first two months of my life were spent in a incubator, and after I gained enough weight I was transferred to Preston (Cambridge) to be closer to where my parents lived in Doon (Kitchener).

morning andrew. I thought that Santa brought that Amiga 500! I still have all the old disks too including Star Trek, Super Off Road, Project Neptune, Gunshoot, Uridium 2, GFL Baseball, Cosmic Bouncer, Chessmaster 2000, Summer Challenge, Sky Chase, Gretzky Hockey, Turbo Outrun, Battleship, Paperboy 2, Mean 18 [golf], Falcon, Where in the World is Carmen SanDiego, there’s also an astronomy program. Wooden it be great if we could get the 500 back in action? [actually it’s a 1000 since we doubled the memory] Maybe it just needs dusting and a new power supply. Well enuff for now. Blog off!

  2. Yes, you are right! Santa brought it! I remember all those games too and they were great. It would be great getting that old beast running again, all we need is a new power supply…
